And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.
This Father and Son Retreat is designed to help you grow together and take your relationship to the next level. You'll share fun, and adventure, and be challenged by solid messages on healthy relationships in an atmosphere where it's hard to miss God. We'll help you face the tough stuff, overcome some of the hurt and unspoken things in your relationship and build memories that will last.
WHY SHOULD I BRING MY SON TO VALOUR?
We believe that a child's relationship with his or her father is one of the key factors to help them grow and mature into Godly men and women. We understand that raising children has its challenges, ups, and downs, and doesn't always go as planned. We've designed this weekend to not just help you two have fun, but to help you both grow in your relationship with your heavenly Father, which in turn will grow the relationship between the two of you. We have some hard conversations and tackle tough topics like pornography, sex, identity, shame etc. We have seen God restore relationships between fathers and sons, watched as sons receive revelation about Jesus and commit their lives once again or for the first time to Him, and celebrated as Fathers grew in their own confidence and identity. This is not just a men's weekend, nor is it just a time away, this is an intentional 5-day retreat designed to build a father-son relationship that brings God glory!
We can't give away all the adventure and surprises but what we will tell you is that for 5 days as a pair, you will experience fun, adventure, challenges, biblically-based teaching, encouraging testimonies, and much more. No day will look the same, some you'll be out on the water together and others you'll be working in the shop. Our trained Ellel team will come alongside you both and help you get the most out of your weekend.
"Besides having a totally huge amount of fun, the Lord spoke to me about my perspective on my son, and showed me how He views him, and how I need to view my son. A total change of perspective, which I greatly needed. "
